Join Climate Smart, + Parks & Rec of Gardiner NY and the DEC to help plant 300 trees and shrubs along the Wallkill River.

Help plant 300 trees and shrubs along the Wallkill River in Gardiner, NY.

Saturday May 8th at 9:00 am

Rain date May 23rd

No prior experience required. The DEC will be providing training of proper planting.

You can watch the D.E.C. planting demonstration video in advance.

*Please note there is a 15 minute hike to the planting site.

Be prepared!

Appropriate outdoor attire required.

All participants must bring their own masks, work gloves, hand sanitizer, reusable water bottles, snack, sunscreen, and bug spray.

COVID-19 precautions:

Pre-registration is required to participate.

All volunteers must maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet and wear masks that fully cover nose and mouth at all times – no exceptions.

Volunteers should not participate if they have ANY signs of illness or if they have potentially been exposed to COVID-19 within the previous two weeks.
